Which is the right first question. I gave my answer. It followed up:
"So if the median user is using DenchClaw as a CRM, and you put the developer workflow in the core UI, what happens to their experience? And what does that tell you about whether this is really a core feature or an advanced one?"
I had been conflating "most powerful feature" with "core feature." Those are different things. The most powerful feature for a power user is not necessarily the right thing to put in the core experience for the median user.
The session took 20 minutes and ended with a clear answer: keep gstack as a skill but make the onboarding surface it explicitly for technical founders. The AI didn't tell me that. It asked me questions until I told myself that.
What the AI Does Well#
Pressure-testing logic. The AI is genuinely good at identifying when your reasoning relies on an unexamined assumption. "You said users want X, but what evidence do you have for that?" is a question it will reliably ask.

What the AI Doesn't Do Well#
It doesn't know your users. A YC partner might say "I just talked to three companies with this exact problem last week." The AI doesn't have that. It has general patterns, not current market intelligence.
It can't read your face. Some of the best office hours moments come from a partner noticing that you hesitated before answering, or that your voice changed when they asked about a certain topic. The AI can't detect what you're glossing over.
It will be too agreeable if you let it. The role framing helps enormously, but if you push back hard enough, most AI models will accommodate you. Real partners are harder to convince. You have to actively resist the urge to prompt the AI toward the answer you want.
It doesn't have skin in the game. The advice is only as good as the framing. A YC partner who's seen their fund's bet on your company behave differently than an AI following instructions.

Resist explaining away the hard questions. When the AI asks something that makes you uncomfortable, sit with it. That discomfort is the signal. If you immediately have a rehearsed answer, that's fine — but if you're deflecting, notice that you're deflecting.
